This summer fungus has taken over. 90 percent of the yards have fungus and disease on them. Almost all the golf courses have fungus on them as well. All of the fungus is being caused by the strange weather we have had in St. Louis. We have had tons of rain, some weeks of hot weather and some weeks of cool weather. All of these changes will really stress a lawn out. The rain will wash away some fertilizer and leave the lawn with nothing to feed on.
